Bannockburn is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bannockburn follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Surprised by this hidden gem in a grocery store. Great ambiance, amazing espresso from a slayer by machine, barista was friendly and skilled.

I have been a long term customer and throughout all these years, I kept enjoying the smooth and sweet espresso that you guys were serving. Not sure why but the taste of espresso has changed in recent months. Instead of the usual blueberry notes, now I only taste artificial vanilla in my espresso. I am sorry but I guess you guys lost one customer. The same story is at the Evanston location. I even talked to baristas at both locations and one of the baristas mentioned that the owner decided to add coffee beans artificially flavored with vanilla to the espresso beans. Not sure if that is true or not, but I really miss the old espresso you guys had.

I’ve been coming to Newport since college and it’s always been a great experience! I was a little worried they might lose their cozy charm when they moved into the Heinen’s store but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t feel like I was in a store. The new space is tucked away and it has its own entrance. It’s big and clean and their coffee is still delicious! I usually get the Lotta Latte and the Swedish Knot and I’ve never been disappointed.

I stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised. I had the Date Cardamom Latte, which was a delightful blend of warm, exotic flavors—truly one of the best specialty drinks I’ve had in a while. Staffs were incredibly friendly, making the experience even better. The space itself was spotless and cozy -despite being tucked into the corner of a grocery store. If you're a coffee enthusiast or just love discovering unique spots, I highly recommend giving this place a try. 5 stars.

This is my second time to Newport's and I remembered it much differently. First, the menu is a bit light. I got a latté, and it was a bit too sweet in flavor and tasted like the espresso was rather weak. My wife got the Coco brew and just tossed most of it since it just really wasn't that tasty and we could hardly taste coffee. The new place lacks coffee shop vibes and feels like you're in a grocery store...because you are.
